Update 7/1/13

Hello everyone.
I am still here in Nashville. My life has been fairly crazy.

I took the MCAT a few days ago. And I am proud to say that I made it through.

A dear friend of mine from Carson-Newman drove 6 hours to spend the weekend with me and we went to see many attractions in Nashville. The sites we saw include: the zoo, Opry Mills, some beautiful churches in downtown, and the State Capitol.

Also, I am currently taking two online classes, ancient history and psychology. I definitely prefer psychology over history. However, I am thankful that there are people who like history too.

I have been working on my research for my Honors project. I found two patients who have had a form of lymphoma. They were both treated with an autologous transplant. Then they both later formed secondary AML, acute myelogenous leukemia. They were then treated with allogeneic transplants. This is a very unique situation. Both are now doing well. I am first going to write up case studies for each patient. Then I am going to conduct for statistical research on patients in the database who may also be treated in similar ways. This could prove that survival rates and salvaging is better with allogeneic than autologous. Now I do realize, this, like history to me, may be boring. So if you skimmed, that is totally understandable.

God created us each different. And we can use our differences to make a better world.

For further inspiration, I thought I would post a Bible verse that keeps me going when I am nervous about what is to come...
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7

Good luck this summer as you prepare for college this upcoming year. I know God is going to bring great surprises.
